To prepare our country for facing the challenges in communication technology of the current century this Department was started in 2001. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is accredited by NAAC and certified by ISO. The Department has an outstanding track record and has consistently produced Electronics and Communication Engineering graduates of exceptional quality and caliber. The educational objective for Electronics and Communication Engineering program are designed to produce competent engineers who are ready to contribute effectively to the advancement of Electronics and Communication Engineering causes and to accommodate the needs of the community.
The Department is committed to
1. To impart research and industry based quality education for developing innovative Communication Engineers.
2. To endeavour students with the necessary skills and practical experience to fulfill their professional duties and responsibilities in teamwork.
3. To develop expertise for consultancy activities by providing thrust for Industry-Institute Interaction.
The Department offers one Under Graduate Programme (B.E-ECE) and one Post Graduate Programmes (M.E- Communication Systems) to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The Department, headed by Director, HOD and leaded by Professors and Associate Professors who are experts in their own disciplines, aims at educating and training students with sound knowledge.
The faculty of the Department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in conferences and journals. The Department also undertakes many research projects sponsored by both the government and the industry.
The Infrastructure and Lab Facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate. The Department periodically conducts Faculty Development Programmes and Training Programmes for the benefits of faculty and students.
